Izhevsk film festival is made solely out of love of filmmaking, and the eliminatory committee has its main criteria based on which the short list is created. Key are the following factors necessary to be present in the film: a strongly marked authorship, artistic value and high quality of the cinematography. Here audacious experiments, classical forms, serious existential experience and postmodernist acting are equally welcomed – as is everything that makes filmmaking an art form.

It is very valuable to receive an award with such interesting name – "For a brilliant image" – the film, after all, is first and foremost an image!
